Worth it: Loving the climb

An engineer told his friend he wanted to make music. She replied, "But you don't play an instrument. You've never even used music software."

His answer: "I won't let my ignorance dictate my life."

That moment stuck with me. What if that's what real intelligence looks like? Not knowing, but moving anyway. Not needing permission.

That's humility. That's courage. That's freedom. That's also going for your dream!

(Not so) recently, hearing Benny Blanco say "I love the climb" brought it all back. He keeps jumping into new things without knowing how they'll turn out.

That's not recklessness. That's aliveness.

What would happen if we supported more people like that? The ones who learn on their feet. Who try, fall, build, and create without waiting for the degree, the title, or the perfect time.

This energy, in life and at work, deserves protection, encouragement, celebration.

It's worth it to try even when you're not ready.

PS. Every team needs a Benny. Better yet : every team needs to protect their Benny. The one who tries things. Who learns out loud. Who moves.
